Your body won’t last forever. As you get older, things start to happen it. Not good things either. It becomes important to run tests on your body with regularity. Lisa works for Quest Diagnostics and we get our blood work tested every year. I started in 2014. Now I have 2 years of data to compare. The first year was expected. I’m over weight, have a large waist and drink too much. The test came back make that very clear. So, I thought about that and made some changes to my habits. This year, my BMI is exactly the same, my waist is 3 inches smaller and I’m drinking less. The test also included an alert for my MCHC. That is a hemoglobin count in my blood that says I’m low. The range is 32-26 something or other and I’m at 31.4. That’s not too low. But I still want to know what’s causing it. An online search leads down many roads. But it doesn’t seem like much to worry about. I’ll have to see what happens at my next test in 2016. Stay healthy folks.

“In many cases, a low hemoglobin count is only slightly lower than normal and doesn’t affect how you feel. If it gets more severe and causes symptoms, your low hemoglobin count may indicate you have anemia.”

Another road is Thalassemia.
