My buddy Pete is way into cars, motors and all things metal. He got involved with the Hatboro Car Show and is now in charge of judging. I’ve judged with him a couple years so far. Originally, the system was done with pencils and paper. Then they regrouped and tallied the votes. Tedious and so not 2015. So Pete made an online database and an Android app. This app allowed everyone to use devices to submit their votes. When we regrouped, the tallies were complete. Made things super easy. But his app only ran on Android and it wasn’t very robust. Pete is a DB guy not a UI guy. This year, I started to work with him to make a UI to interact with the DB. We didn’t finish it in time for the show this year, but next year it will happen.
